Welcome to the 2008 International Computer Refurbishers Summit

Monday, May 5th and Tuesday May 6th 2008

Presented by:

Renewed Computer Technology,
PC ReBuilders & Recyclers and TechSoup

The 2008 International Computer Refurbishers Summit  (ICRS) will focus on the “Triple Bottom Line” aspects of electronics refurbishing:  the reuse of technology to create positive impacts on the environment, the economy and the valued social infrastructure. Register Here.

Building on strengths of past events and continue to focus on developing standards for refurbishing programs, with an international scope, including crucial elements such as warranty, fail rate, end-of-life disposal, export, and data removal for refurbished computers.

This 5th Annual Summit is being hosted in Toronto by our partners Renewed Computer Technology (RTC) and PC ReBuilders & Recyclers (Computers for Schools, Chicago) and TechSoup as a testament to our commitment to promoting international investment and participation in achieving our goals and objectives stated above.

Industry experts will share their experience and views on the deepening environmental case for electronics reuse, and the surprising ways that reuse is making social impacts for low-income families, students and charities across the globe.

We will also have sessions demonstrating how to make refurbishing cost effective for both recipients and those making donations. In addition, this year’s conference will showcase the extraordinary work of Computers for Schools, Canada both domestically and internationally.
